“There is an effort under way to empty Middle East of Christians”
That is what, Shlemon Barduni, the Auxiliar Bishop of Baghdad has said.
According to the bishop, “The war has destroyed everything and even the tradition of coexistence. One-third of Christians have fled the country because of threats, abuse and violence.” (…) However, the bishop continued, we should not forget that “our young people have no hope, they are not accepted. A Kurd-Iraqi national, he lost all his family in the Saddam’s chemical attack to Halabja in 1988; during the last years his true family have been the US Marines. He fled to US because he was receiving death threats. The good consideration here is that he had his residence denied because of… being a terrorist. So he can be expelled (if he has not been yet and he would have to go back to Irak.
