UK: The puppy that enraged the Muslims
Yes, I know, this happened last Thursday but I had to comment on it. This is the puppy:
The reason for this absolutely irrational and unreasonable enrage is that “black dogs are the devil“:
“Abu Dharr reported: The Messenger of ‘Allah (may peace be upon him) said: When any one of you stands for prayer and there is a thing before him equal to the back of the saddle that covers him and in case there is not before him (a thing) equal to the back of the saddle, his prayer would be cut off by (passing of an) ass, woman, and black Dog. I said: O Abu Dharr, what feature is there in a black dog which distinguish it from the red dog and the yellow dog? He said: O, son of my brother, I asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) as you are asking me, and he said: The black dog is a devil.” – Sahih Muslim 4.1032

Slaves in Belgium
The widow of a UAE’s prince lived in Konrad Hotel (Belgium) where she had rented the “royal suite” (the most luxurious of all, price: 4,500 € per day) and the rest of the floor (53 rooms) for her and her daughters. What the police found was that they had been keeping 17 girls as slaves during the last 8 months, who couldn’t even go out of the floor and whose passports had been locked away to prevent them from fleeing.
Everything was discovered after one of the girls managed to flee and denounced everything to the police:
Jamila explains that the widow had promised her to be her cook in Abu Dhabi. Five months after beginning to work for her, he was sent to Brussles, where she was working all day, except the three-hour sleep she was allowed. She never had gone out of the hotel.
She added that there were two rooms: one for the Catholic servants and another for the Muslim ones.
The servants had been recruited in the Philippines, Morocco, Indita, Egypt, Turkey, Irak and Syria.
She also believes the managers knew what was going on, but they have denied it.

Two brothers charged with honor killings
One in Jordan, another in Canada. The 16-year-old Jordanian confessed stabbing his 23-year-old sister 10 times, because she had disappeared 1 month with her boyfriend. In the Canadian case, the 26-year-old Waqas Parvez has been arrested, after his father because of the murder of her 16-year-old sister, Aqsa Parvez who was strangled for not wearing the veil.

“If she were my wife, I would have forbidden her to stand at the election”
UK Muslims are outraged at an unveiled Muslim woman councillor, whose name is Hasina Khan and who has stated that she won’t let male bigots win. And yes, there are some bigots there. The title of the post is precisely what the imam has said about Ms Khan:
He said that, as imam, he could not forbid Muslim women from standing for election, but he would be entitled to forbid his wife. “Because this is Britain, you cannot tell anyone what to do. I can tell my wife, but cannot tell other women, ‘You cannot do this and that’,” he said.
How sweet! A true liberal… It’s clear he is doing that because of her welfare…

French counterterrorism system
For years, only US and Guantánamo have been critisized worldwide. Now, it’s France’s turn. HRW has accused France of violating human rights, because suspects can be detained only on grounds of a vague link to terrorism and because they can face long periods of detention before trial and some hace actually suffered physical violence during interrogation.
Meanwhile, the French Interior Minister has announced 13-year-old will be filed, if suspected of commiting crimes, because minors’ criminal life is evolving, specially regarding urban violence.
