Un soldiers salute Hizbullah terrorists
like if they were another soldiers… And I thought UN troops were there to combat Hizbullah…

Shameful. But I guess this salute was ordered to them… It’s curious their flag (and so their country) cannot be seen…
By the way, UNIFIL has defended the soldiers, who are thought to be from Italy though their identities have not been made public.

Another case of duplicity: Imam Siraj Wahhaj

An Islamic group plans to blitz 1,000 subway cars with advertisements this September in a campaign being promoted by a Brooklyn imam whom federal officials have linked to a plot to blow up city landmarks.
The group says its mission is to explain the true nature of Islam to non-Muslims who believe the religion is bent on acts of violence – but Siraj Wahhaj, the inflammatory imam who appears in a promotional YouTube video for the project, has defended convicted bomb-plotters and called the FBI and CIA the “real terrorists.”
US Attorney Mary Jo White even named Wahhaj one of 170 unindicted co-conspirators in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the thwarted plan to blow up a slew of buildings.
“In time, this so-called democracy will crumble, and there will be nothing, and the only thing that will remain will be Islam,” Wahhaj said in one of his sermons.
(…) Wahhaj, imam of Al-Taqwa mosque, is a former member of the Nation of Islam and was the first Muslim to give an invocation at the House of Representatives.
Formal charges were never filed against him by White, although he did serve as a character witness for the defense in the trial of Omar Abdel-Rahman, “the blind sheik” who is now serving a life sentence for his role in plotting the 1993 WTC bombings.
In the promotional video for the Subway Project, Wahhaj is the first to speak.
“Every day in this city, some 4.9 million people ride the subways – that is a lot of people,” he says. “Imagine them seeing the word Islam. Imagine them seeing the word Muhammad.”
What a sympathetic guy, isn’t he?

Israeli mother rescued from abusive Muslim husband

After a 17-year captivity to an abusive Muslim husband, a Jewish mother and her eight children were rescued Sunday from the Muslim quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City. Yad L’Achim, an organization dedicated to solving problems of this type, freed Naama [not her real name] from imprisonment in her own home and almost two decades of fear, shame and violence. Seizing a window of opportunity – her husband was in prison and his brother under house arrest – her liberators wove through the narrow alleyways of the Muslim Quarter to deliver her to safety.
(…) Naama, now around 40, grew up in a Torah-observant home in the Golan Heights. At 20, she rebelled against Judaism. Constant fighting with her parents and her decision to stop observing Shabbat culminated in a falling-out with her family, and Naama left her home to seek a different life. Vulnerable, with her life in a volatile state, Naama met an Arab man, who married her and brought her to the Muslim Quarter, promising her a warm, stable home where she would be loved and feel happy. Naama’s life as a Muslim began.

UK: Sharia Law in criminal procedures
Youth worker Aydarus Yusuf, 29, who was involved in setting up the hearing, said a group of Somali youths were arrested by police on suspicion of stabbing another Somali teenager.
A hearing was convened and elders ordered the assailants to compensate the victim.
“All their uncles and their fathers were there,” said Mr Yusuf. “So they all put something towards that and apologised for the wrongdoing.”
Don’t you feel the peace, the repentment? They even apologised!!!

Britain bans Hizbullah military wing
British lawmakers voted Tuesday to include the military wing of Lebanese-based group Hezbollah to Britain’s list of banned terrorist organizations, charging it supported terror activities in Iraq and the Palestinian territories.
The action by the House of Commons would make it a crime to join or support the military wing of the radical group, which fought a bloody month-long conflict with Israel two years ago.
Britain’s minister in charge of fighting terrorism Tony McNulty charged that the movement was linked to insurgent groups in Iraq that had attacked coalition soldiers.
“I can say unequivocally that Hezbollah’s military wing is providing active support to Shia militant groups in Iraq,” he said.
Lebanese blogger From Beirut to the Beltway is not happy about what is going on. Just read him to know the other side of the story: those people who are Lebanese and are not very happy with Hizbullah and Siniora’s treatment of Kantar.

Bulldozer attack wounds one person and 4 others are injured
Israeli police identified the driver as a Palestinian from East Jerusalem.
The construction vehicle struck several other vehicles, including a No. 13 city bus, before an Israeli border policeman and a civilian shot and killed the driver, an Israeli government statement said.
One person was “moderately to seriously wounded,” and four others sustained minor injuries in Tuesday’s attack, the statement said, citing Jerusalem’s police chief. Video Watch city bus damaged by backhoe attack »
The statement immediately labeled the incident a terrorist attack. Video footage showed the body of the driver slumped inside the cab of the vehicle.
A witness said he saw the machine overturn two cars near the hotel in downtown Jerusalem, where the U.S. presidential candidate was scheduled to stay after he arrives in Israel. Obama is in Jordan at the moment as part of an overseas trip to the Mideast and Europe.

This is the second Palestinian bulldozer terrorist attack in less than a month… The attacker was also from East Jerusalem.

Mehbooba Andyar: the Afghan runner trying to escape from the Taliban
She disappeared some days ago and people were worried because, just for being a runner, she had been receiving death threats:
Mehbooba Andyar’s choice to compete in a head scarf and full-length, body-covering running suit could not spare her from Taliban taunts and threats. The Afghan middle-distance runner nonetheless trekked on and was on the verge of realizing her Olympic dream. But now Andyar — slated to be the only female Afghan athlete at the Beijing Games — has gone missing from her training site just weeks before the opening ceremonies.
(…) One possible explanation is that the 19-year-old may be seeking asylum somewhere in Europe, following repeated threats and humiliation from Muslim extremists, including false rumors that she was a prostitute.
She has resurfaced now only to announce that she is in her way to Norway, where she will be seeking asylum. Something entirely normal considering this:
Although Ahdyar always ran in a headscarf and wore long tracksuit bottoms she still received death threats from extremists who objected to a Muslim woman taking part in sports at all.
When she received visits from Western media earlier this year, her neighbors called the police telling them she was obviously a prostitute working for foreign clients. Her father, a carpenter, even spent time in jail until the issue was cleared up.
Absolutely. Disgusting. And. Shameful.
We will see if Norway has the guts to confront the Taliban for protecting this brave woman.

Explosives and detonators are stolen in France (more)
What they don’t know is who has stolen them:
French anti-terrorist officers are searching for 28kg (61lb) of Semtex explosive missing from a depot in the suburbs of the city of Lyon.
France’s interior ministry confirmed an investigation was underway, saying the manager of the site had been suspended.
Semtex is a powerful explosive favoured by terrorist groups as it is odourless and difficult to detect.
Police said detonators were also missing and that they are treating the theft “very seriously”.
The depot, in a disused 19th century fort at Corbas, is used for storing explosives by a civil defence unit charged with the job of blowing up bombs and ammunition left over from the two world wars.
Police said the discovery that the Semtex was missing was made on Friday but admitted the explosives could have been taken up to a week ago.

The Basque terrorist organization has robbed explosives in the past in France, but in nearly all of those occassions the commandos operated in private firms’ deposits, kidnapping temporarily their workers, bosses or their relatives.
The 28 kilos stolen from the facility are only a very tiny part of the explosives held in that place, according to sources of the investigation.

BELGRADE: Bosnian Serb wartime president Radovan Karadzic, one of the world’s most wanted men for his part in civilian massacres, has been arrested in Serbia, President Boris Tadic’s office said on Monday.
The arrest of Karadzic and other indicted war criminals and their delivery to the Hague war crimes tribunal, is one of the main conditions of Serbian progress towards European Union (EU) membership.
It came on the eve of a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers which is scheduled to discuss closer relations with serbia following the formation of a new pro-western government. A war crimes prosecutor was due to visit Belgrade on Tuesday.
Karadzic’s place of hiding has been a constant subject of international speculation since he went underground in 1997. Sources close to the government said Karadzic, distinguished by his characteristic long, grey hair, was arrested in Belgrade.

I want only to ask something: When will Muslim war criminals (who also killed people and even did organ trafficking with Serbs) be detained and handed over to the UN Tribunal? I rejoice when this war crimes culprits are found and condemned, but I would like ALL OF THEM condemned, NOT just SOME of them…
