Canada: Islamists threatening censorship again

without comments

Khaled Mouammar President of the Canadian Arab Federation has issued a call for the head of Corus Radio broadcaster Benoit Dutrizac for an interview that was conducted with Samira Laouni, the NDP/Islamist candidate for the riding of Montréal-Bourass.

Blazing Cat Fur: Islamists threatening censorship again….

Here we go again… The thing that mostly strike me EVER of these petitions, is that they ALWAYS accuse every critic of racism. Islamism is NOT a race, is an ideology.

On the other hand a rally has taken place, organized by Comics for Freedom. Tristan has written about it. Very refreshing…

China-Sudan meeting in Beijing

with one comment

Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Zhou Yongkang met with the Deputy Chairman of Sudan’s ruling National Congress Party, Nafi’a Ali Nafi’a, hours before the Beijing Paralympics was to end on Wednesday evening.

Zhou, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, appreciated the support the Sudanese government and people offered to the Beijing Olympics and Paralympics.

In response, Nafi’a, also Sudanese presidential assistant, congratulated China on great successes of both the Olympics and Paralympics.

Nafi’a was the highest-ranking Sudanese official set to attend the closing ceremony of the Paralympics.

While reviewing China-Sudan ties, Zhou said: “The two peoples have always been sincere to each other since the two countries forged bilateral ties in 1959.”

Zhou said China would like to work more closely with Sudan, carry out the consensus reached by the two heads of states and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.

Meanwhile Sudan is attacking Darfurian villages (here and here) and UN food convoys with no intervention from the international community. Of course, China was very concerned when Sudanese President Al-Bashir was charged with genocide several weeks ago.

Egypt’s repenting Islamists face a cold welcome

with one comment

Repentant jihadists – former Islamic militants who won release from prison by explicitly renouncing violence and other extremist ideas – have become a topic of political debate in Egypt. The former jihadists provoke varying reactions, most of them negative. The regime, which engineered their re-education, continues to deal with them strictly as a security threat and has prevented them from resuming political activities. Some groups question the sincerity of the jihadists’ transformation and refuse to take them seriously. Other Islamist forces, notably the Muslim Brotherhood, view the repentant jihadists as potential competitors capable of contesting their claim to moderate Islamism. Overall, jihadists who have repented since the regime broke the back of their movement in 1997 have faced an unwelcoming political environment.

The Daily Star – Opinion Articles – Egypt’s repenting Islamists face a cold welcome.

The best thing is that the article considers the Muslim Brotherhood as moderate. I copy from MB’s Project:

  • Networking and coordinating actions between likeminded Islamist organizations;
  • Avoiding open alliances with known terrorist organizations and individuals to maintain the appearance of “moderation”;
  • Infiltrating and taking over existing Muslim organizations to realign them towards the Muslim Brotherhood’s collective goals;
  • Using deception to mask the intended goals of Islamist actions, as long as it doesn’t conflict with shari’a law;
  • Avoiding social conflicts with Westerners locally, nationally or globally, that might damage the long-term ability to expand the Islamist powerbase in the West or provoke a lash back against Muslims;
  • Establishing financial networks to fund the work of conversion of the West, including the support of full-time administrators and workers;
  • Conducting surveillance, obtaining data, and establishing collection and data storage capabilities;
  • Putting into place a watchdog system for monitoring Western media to warn Muslims of “international plots fomented against them”;
  • Cultivating an Islamist intellectual community, including the establishment of think-tanks and advocacy groups, and publishing “academic” studies, to legitimize Islamist positions and to chronicle the history of Islamist movements;
  • Developing a comprehensive 100-year plan to advance Islamist ideology throughout the world;
  • Balancing international objectives with local flexibility;
  • Building extensive social networks of schools, hospitals and charitable organizations dedicated to Islamist ideals so that contact with the movement for Muslims in the West is constant;
  • Involving ideologically committed Muslims in democratically-elected institutions on all levels in the West, including government, NGOs, private organizations and labor unions;
  • Instrumentally using existing Western institutions until they can be converted and put into service of Islam;
  • Drafting Islamic constitutions, laws and policies for eventual implementation;
  • Avoiding conflict within the Islamist movements on all levels, including the development of processes for conflict resolution;
  • Instituting alliances with Western “progressive” organizations that share similar goals;
  • Creating autonomous “security forces” to protect Muslims in the West;
  • Inflaming violence and keeping Muslims living in the West “in a jihad frame of mind”;
  • Supporting jihad movements across the Muslim world through preaching, propaganda, personnel, funding, and technical and operational support;
  • Making the Palestinian cause a global wedge issue for Muslims;
  • Adopting the total liberation of Palestine from Israel and the creation of an Islamic state as a keystone in the plan for global Islamic domination;
  • Instigating a constant campaign to incite hatred by Muslims against Jews and rejecting any discussions of conciliation or coexistence with them;
  • Actively creating jihad terror cells within Palestine;
  • Linking the terrorist activities in Palestine with the global terror movement;
  • Collecting sufficient funds to indefinitely perpetuate and support jihad around the world;

Hmm, yeah, I’m seeing the moderation

Defense Dept. Puts Tanker Contest on Hold

without comments

The U.S. Defense Dept., saying it has run out of time to conduct one of the largest, most politically contentious acquisitions in military history, announced on Sept. 10 that it would end the competition for $35 billion in new aerial refueling tanker aircraft. The contract, initially won by Northrop Grumman (NOC) and European Aeronautic Defense & Space (EAD.PA), and successfully contested by Boeing (BA), will now be decided by a new President and Congress next year.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates, noting the level of politicization, emotions, and complexities that include the potential for continuing legal and political challenges, called for a “cooling off” period. He also acknowledged the military’s own mishandling of the contract. He asserted that the delay would not impair the military’s ability to do its job, due to continuing upgrading and maintenance of the existing tanker fleet, some of which dates to the Cold War era and the Air Force sought to replace—as a top priority—years ago.

Funny ol’Muslim of the year

with one comment

He says an ordinary man with even 10 wives would “collapse and die.” But because of the power bestowed on him by Allah, he is, in his words, “able to control 86 of them.”

Jihad Watch: Virile 84 year old man arrested for not divorcing 82 of his 86 wives.

Oh, yeah, I’m sure he can control them… :lol:

Burned with acid in Pakistan (I) (II)

with 2 comments

Saira Liaqat, 26, poses for the camera as she holds a portrait of herself before being burnt, at her home in Lahore. Saira was married to her relative who would later attack her after insistently demanding her to live with him, although the families had agreed she wouldn’t join him until she finished school. Saira has undergone plastic surgery 9 times to try to recover from her scars.

Terrible. And no word about Islamic influence in the FOXNews’ report about this kind of attacks.

I can only say a word: bastard. How on earth someone can do something like that… it’s beyond my comprehension…

(I) Welcome, BCF readers.

(II) Babbazee has sent me a link where there are more photos about the results of these terrible crimes. You can see them by yourselves. I advise you they are not pleasant to see, but it’s necessary to see them just to know what’s happening there without any kind of publicity anywhere.
