Spain: Ceuta elevates antiterrorist alert after AQ threat
Ceuta’s Government Delegate has pointed out that “security measures had been taken on Spanish-Moroccan frontier and in the harbour due to an elevated antiterrorist alert decreed in the city against AQ for an Islamic Maghreb’s menaces.
Government delegate in the city, José Fernández Chacón, has referred to the video in which the leader of AQfor an Islamic Maghreb, Abu Musab Abdul Wadud, has called on North African Muslims to unite in holy war against Spain, France, United States and their own governments.
José Fernández Chacón has also announced that Ceuta is in a level no.2 of terrorist alert and has reminded that the city is menaced “from time to time”, menaces which “afterwards should be analysed and valued”.
(…) The Tarajal’s frontier which separates Ceuta from Marruecos is crossed daily by more than 30,000 people and by more than 2,500 vehicles.

Someone said the Alliance of Civilizations was the solution for all the wrongs of the world… but Spain remains menaced by the same people nearly 4 years later.
