Sudanese Army attacks Darfur again while continues to speak with Chad
The Sudanese Army continues with its attacks without any international reporting:
Sudanese army has launched new attacks on Darfor, several rebel groups have stated las Sunday Sept, 14. “There are several dead and hurt people among the population. A lot of them have fled during combats. The Government forces have burnt everythings, including a little hospital”, has stated without telling any more a commander from the Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA) Ibrahim Al-Hillo.
(…) Sudanese authorities have accused Chad of haloing the Darfur rebels. Also Chad has denounced regularly Khartoun’s help to armed groups fighting President Idriss Déby’s regime. The tension already exploded four months ago and led to break the diplomatic relations between the two States.
But it looks like they are going to find a solution for those diplomatic relations. That’s the main result of the meeting, last Friday in Asmara, Eritrea’s capital, of the contact group charged with the task of acheiving peace between Chad and Sudan. Under Lybia’s pressure, both States -represented by their Ministers of Foreign Affairs-, have accepted to re-establish their diplomatic relations before the next meeting of the contact group on October the 12th.
It is curious that nothing of this (or practically nothing) is said in international MSM.
